The Pin Oak is a symmetrical deciduous oak tree with ascending horizontal branches. Glossy, deeply lobed, dark green leaves turn to shades of russet, bronze or red in the fall, but begin as yellow-green buds in the spring. Also known as the Swamp Spanish Oak, it is one of the most popular commercial oaks, planted as both a street and a landscape tree.
